This quote is amazing to me. How did they come up with the name of puzzle box and just make it a random thing that sits in my bank? I'm thinking right away it could somehow be involved with a PUZZLE of some sorts.


it would have been a lot better if the puzzle box was actually part of the storyline in some way rather than just a mechanical contrivance

Maybe this is similar to story mode in the elite dungeons. First time I was prepared for an epic interactive gaming experience. All those characters, must be a good story.

Instead it was just the same dungeon with less damage.

The last time I was that disappointed was when the 'slayer based minigame' turned out to be Soul Wars.

I'm 99% sure that the Infernal Puzzle Box is intended to be a reference to the Lament Configuration from the Hellraiser films; the LC is also a puzzle box that draws power from infernal realms (in its case, Hell). The actual "puzzle" is honestly irrelevant, the point is that it's an item imbued with the power of demons.

oh and the fact that there are many film references is definitely relevant considering you finding out the infernal box (the topic of this rant) is based on a film you seemed to double down on your feelings. so now it opens up 2 main questions

1. (one i asked) did you not know there are many references to films in this game?

2. now you know there are many is this a negative thing to have film / book references in this game?

3. depending on the answer to 1 and 2, it will still be why?

I mean I wrote the thread. So yeah. This is incredibly useful feedback. There is a standard to be met even if it is an easter egg or movie reference or meme.

As a challenge, if you felt the need to add to the feedback, you could point out which specific part was related.

The part about where it should have instead been the demon in a bottle from Archaeology?

I was gonna carry THAT around?
