Game crashes rs3 fix? When?

I'm having seriously game crashes since Februari this year.
I couldn't play more than 1 minute before the client crashed. I've updated the graphics in February.
The same thing happened in June. I upgraded the graphics back then, again.
Now we're September and again the same problem!
Today I removed the cache, as stated in the support page. No effect.

Over 21 years of playing, without any problems. This year is a disaster.

I've created a thread in the technical support back in February. And updated it since.
Still no respons from Jagex.

Laptop is currenly 2-2.5 years old, so not that old.
OSRS is still playable.

AMD user here,

Not happy about AMD what so ever paid over 320 euros for a GPU,

wich AMD broke with every driver afer may 2022 ( 22.5.1 was the last stable driver )

crash crash crash, c0000005 every time i launch Runescape

in 2023 there was a driver(23.7.2) wich didnt crash runescape but it only hangs for a second or so... (in the driver know issues was runescape, it never made it into fixed issues)

23.8.1 crash crash again.. reverted back to 22.5.1...
now for 23.9.1 i have weird flashes now and then, but not crashes....

So will i buy another AMD gpu?No, but there is no alternative, nvidia have better track record, but I dont need DLSS (0 games i play have that), fake frame generation ( why would you want that increased latency ) . So any incentive from nvidia isnt for me..

Maybe Intel , no my gpu from 2018 does better with OpenGL benchmark then Intels new GPUs..

So sad, I wish Runescape would stap away from OpenGL, there isnt a game since 2016 who I can find that uses OpenGL............

Bought a new system in January, i5 13500, 32 gb ram, 1tb m2 ssd, put in the AMD gpu
same crashes as on my older system ( intel 2500k 16gb ram, 250gb ssd)


Zero crahes with other games.
Also 22.5.1 didnt have a crash in the time i've used it, just MS windows keeps installing new drivers who I have to remove and reinstall 22.5.1

I sometimes wander how many people would endure this with AMD just to play Runescape.
I can image people just giving up and moving on to another game.

It's possible, yes. But I have no clue whatsover.
Everytime I updated the graphics, the game was playable.
In februari, other players had the same problem, but after updating, all was ok. In june, I got the Jagex authenticator for the golden cape shard. The problem occured again.

I updated the graphics again, and I could play. Untill two weeks ago.
I removed some unused games and the other RuneScape clients I didn't use anymore (both from steam and the client I had before the Jagex Launcher came out. I played RS via the Jagex Launcher only, the last few months.

Again, troubles with crashing.

Hmm, I'm also using AMD. It seems I'm not the only one with the same kind of problem.
