Jagex sure made sure to ruin a lot of people's holiday with the Empty Easter Basket/Intricate Egg debacle.
First I spend too much on the basket. Then you can't even buy the intricate egg for 265m.
Maybe I should have read the Wiki about it, but I thought surely, since I spent everyday at the event, I had all the eggs needed.
Now I have 5 kinds of eggs and an empty Easter Basket I can never fill.

There will be next year, I'm sure.

PS: "ripped off by the easter bunny" is a very funny thread title

I got a basket for free but the Intricate Egg eluded me.

Got all the other eggs. Got an offer in GE for the Intricate but no where near 265m lol. I don't
want it that bad.

I love hard tricky events like these but the Intricate was a bit of a hidden Easter egg and no pun intended.

Fingers crossed it can be duplicated next year as it was a very nice fun event I enjoyed. So AFK'able. Which I loved.

I do get what you are saying but there is always next year. ;)

I was going to post a similar thread, in the Existing Game section though. It would have been about Holiday Events in general.

I've been playing this account non-stop since 2004. I wasn't here for the Santa Hats, Partyhats, or Halloween Masks. I think my first holiday item was the Yo-Yo.

I miss the old formats where holiday events were more quest-like, and everyone did them and was awarded their holiday item. It's fun to go back to Diango and get the Candy Cane, the Jack Lantern mask and whatnot.

Now the rewards are super rare. I don't have a black or green Santa hat, a green Santa suit, a purple Halloween mask, the empty basket and intricate egg from the recent event, and so many other rewards.

I always feel let down after holiday events now. There are only so many lamps, stars, dung tokens, silverhawks, etc that a player needs.
Bite me.

This exactly. The Christmas event also show cased Jagex’s position closer to Scrooge over Santa. It sucks watching what should be an equal opportunity event become nothing more than an afk grind for an item people only want to sell. The was a reason holiday items are untradable and I’m sad seeing jagex not knowing their own history.
