Hi all, please don't hate on me for this.

I was in world 84 today skilling and someone came with a pride note and just spammed it for hours. Chat went crazy because the person wouldn't stop and it was super annoying. Of course, this also caused a lot of arguing in the chat and people getting into politics / ideologies etc. in an unhelpful way. The whole thing was just super toxic and could have been avoided by letting us mute the person. There is a mute button for a reason, why did you create an item that circumvents that?

I'm not here to criticise or debate others politics / ideologies and for that reason I won't disclose my own. Just please understand how annoying it is to have a constant stream of the same phrases pop up in front of you when trying to skill and then how horrible it is to see people's reaction to that as they get increasingly frustratef an start arguing with each other.

Out of curiosity, what item were they using to do the spam? I haven't seen anyone doing it afaik but I'm curious how disruptive it could be.

If other in-game items can do something similar, I don't think the Pride-specific item should be limited by itself. If similar items exist that can spam in the same fashion, then all of them should be limited.

Wouldn't adding them to your ignore list mute them?
If not, then I can support extending that system to include the item.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

As much as I support Pride, ANY advertisement text that can be triggered by another player and gets past the ignore list filter, shouldn't be. I support making this (and all other items) be blocked by the ignore list. Things may be looking down now, but I see a light at the end of the tunnel;
Do you think I should get off the tracks?
