Just seems ridiculous that making a silly mistake over 10 years ago as a kid can be appealable if it falls into the correct category or unappealable if it falls into the incorrect category.

I really would love to just have my old RSN back mostly, but it would also be amazing to see if any of my original friends still play since my old main has been permanently banned for over 10 years. I have friends who were perm banned on old accounts for botting and they were somehow able to get those accounts appealed and unbanned years later.. but because my main was banned for a ridiculous mis-understanding and mistake as a kid, I cannot appeal it.

Just seems so unfair and I am glad I can rant here to the empty void.

Agreed. What was rule breaking back then might not be now with different rules. OP deserves a second chance.

thats why some perm bans are appealable now and others arent, the ones that arent are still against rules like botting / rwt etc.

I agree it's stupid that a name can be permanently banned because of making a mistake at 13 or 14 years old.

Plus, osrs is meant to be an entirely separate game to RS3, why should the bans that were given 10, 15 years ago in an entirely separate game apply to this one too?

Jagex doesn't know if you were a child or not when you had the violation.

I agree a permanent ban is an overly harsh punishment for a child and the problem is permanent ban is a completely appropriate punishment for 18+

If the ban is permanent and un-appealable i can assure you that Jagex are 100% accurate in applying that particular ban and the player either cheated or became involved in major rule breaking of some sort.

It's the temp random bans with no apparent proof apart from the dumb ass excuse of "we can't show you proof in case it helps the programmers" bullshit which annoys me. those bans are basically "we are not sure, soz if we are wrong but we gotta look like we are in charge and know everything"

As for your mistake 10 years ago "which you were correctly banned for", if you are truthful about wanting to come back "btw, don't expect to see any old mates, i can guarantee they are all called something else now" lol

My advice to you mate...

Start again, learn again, make new mates and find out if you still like Runescape "i reckon you will bro"

Treat this shit like a new game and continue your greatest adventure!!!

Much love
