Pvp is probably the main reason runescape ever got as big as it is. But i feel like it's just been neglected now and tossed to the side to shut the pking portion of runescape up. It's flawed, its so so so severely flawed. The VLS is an absolute joke of a weapon that really needs to be reworked some way because i can go out wit nothing on and a vls and get kills. Also, the worlds for pking are so bad... Bh has one world and everyone who doesnt live there is just SOL. The most competetive part of the game is based on luck and good connection. That takes out all of the skill. I personally have really bad cnnection in these worlds but i love pking and it's the only reason i came back after EOC came and i quit. But PVP is worst than it has ever been. The worlds are terrible, weapons are broken and players are not being listened to about it. Ever since the release of BH, there has been target rushing and jagex has said verbally on stream they know about it and nothing has been done. Man, come on it's a few simple lines of code to throw in on a wed update thats going to happen anyway. Why is it i can hav e two seperate players stack me out in 1 game tick. Why do we have one BH world but multiple tears of guthix worlds? It makes no sense whatsoever. Now there forums are dead and unless i go post this on redit and it blows up or im a youtuber. This whole thread won't even be read by jagex. PVP is dead... The part of my childhood that made m play this game is going down the drain faster than I typed this rant. Pvp used to be the biggest part of runescape. But who the hell wants to go to pvp with 250ping and get rushed by 2 people at a time, fight a guy risking 40k and vls and have to run from him. Or get double speced and have a guy run and repeat the process. Come on now, seriously. If anyone doesn't take anything from this then do me one thing. Go to pvp for a few hours and try it for yourself. Maybe if you get irritated the way we do something would change.

Not to mention AHKing is absurd. And unless sirpugger makes a video on it. Theres a 0% ban rate on it. I wish i was exxagerating on that but im not. There were plenty of players that got caught AHKING on video, and got a temp ban and went right ack to doing it. These players do it all day everyday and normally with rushing or luring. Have been doing it for years, clans for it. They litter pvp and high risk worlds. Nothing is being done. It's not possible to 1tick 8way switch and pray into a spec. Yet youll see it in high risk worlds very often. People that make a living from it, have a discord for cheating. Every day in pvp. I have Vid on it and have gathered enough clips on watching it and the lures to send to sirpugger and hopefuly that will get the point across

it may have been the reason it got big. but its not the reason people play now. only a very small % care about pvp.


but you say its neglected. except whats happening as we speak right now is a huge event thats literally PVP event, dead man mode. i dont know how you can say its neglected when there is a literal tournament going on for it with a huge prize at the end

thats a very odd claim when you obviously cant know, well i guess there is one way, and thats you own all the ahk bots, and you know they arent being banned until pugger makes a vid. thats pretty much only way you can know

Because the same people have been doing it for years. They have gotten a temp ban when a massive ban wave hit. But that's because people started complaining about it in vids/reddit. You see them everyday. Like i said, its not possible to 8wayswitch autospec with prayers and stack in one tick from a couple sqs away. Its client. It' not possible to 1tick gmaul spec from a wep that doesnt have a spec. It's a client. You see them every single day and they don't even hide it. Like at all and will openly admit to it because they know they won't get banned. I was not kidding there's entire discords and clans for this reason alone. It's so much more common than you think it is.

Maybe a few have been banned here and there, but youre talking about a % that's so small it doesn't matter in the bigger picture. I'm talking about people that do this ALL day EVERYDAY. They make a living from selling Billions and Billions of gp. It is literally their job to AHK and rush people so they can get a check. So if people are being banned, it's not even relevant to how much of an impact is makes on the pvp community. People have lost hundreds of bills to cheaters that nothing happens..

It doesn't solve the root of the problem. It's throwing a temporary solution out. When this game thrived the most, id say PVP was the reason. If mobile didn't come out and attract a whole new audience i'd say the game would of damn near died. But theres some seriously broken things in PVP that are just simple fixes that don't get fixes. The point is pvp gets no attention even though it's known about. Theres simple game bug fixes every wed for dumb stuff but cant fix BH bug where 2 people can spec u at once.

a temporary solution? this isnt a solution to anything. its just event for the community.

and i agreed with you, pvp
was
the reason. not the community do not care for pvp. so why make content for pvp when the majority dont care for it. that is not good business.

just because it was the reason back in 2004, doesnt mean it will have that impact in 2023. the community has changed we arent kids anymore. we want something different from this game than going into wildy and killing people.
