Jagex launcher looping update

Oh why did I want those two shards? Now I'm stuck on mobile version, because the WIN-PC version of the Jagex launcher doesn't launch the game. It just loops on "New launcher update available" and has only the APPLY & RESTART button. Click it, something starts but doesn't follow through and the game doesn't start, and the same announcement of launcher update returns.

I have installed, removed, deleted, reinstalled, repaired, restarted and whatnot some time now. And have now given up.

Any ideas fellow gamers as Jagex support is busy now... wonder why...

Switch the launcher off and restart it to refresh its update/upgrade protocol.
To help you, these are the places where to click ...







After that you are able to restart your '
Jagex Launcher
' which automaticly will search for any new updates/upgrades and install them instantly.

I cant even do that anymore and i deactivated launch on startup when i managed to make the launcher work on 3th June after i downloaded for the shards and i only got in using my 20 try on the verication code after i downloaded the game on steam.

Now i cant even se the launcher when i click launch anymore after i click exit on launcher and restarted my pc. Fix didnt do anything so i guess its time to install again.

Jagex should warn us about these sort of problems when we launch the Jagex Launcher not make our life harder

The problem with Jagex Launcher starting up the moment you do startup your computer is is that Jagex Launcher already is searching/waiting attempting to find a connection with Jagex's Servers where as your computer system isn't fully ready with starting up.
You have to wait until your computer is fully ready starting up, not searching to other updates/upgrades (specially Windows), otherwise Jagex Launcher will be disturbed 'hanging' and not going any forward forcing you to stop Jagex Launcher and startup once again.

How so? I use '
Jagex Launcher
' every day and, besides the issue I mentioned above about starting up, I have not have any issues whatsoever that did put me out of RuneScape.
If I come accross something with said launcher that really pisses me off I would let it know to Jagex/JMods in many colours but so far everything is running smoothly and if there's an 'launcher update/upgrade' issue, a quick logging out and logging in makes the cut to proceed with what I am doing.

Thank you for your help 2_Tron! Unfortunately I can't reach that first picture you placed, as that is an open Jagex launcher. I can't get there. I have now updated everything possible and have disabled Jagex launcher from start-up programmes. It hasn't worked yet though...

Your welcome ZiggyZaqq, I too am still puzzled why the issues I had just needed 2 attempts before they worked. I too can't wrap my head around it but I am happy for you that it has worked out.
