I'd like to know if there's a way to browse a history of all the posts I've made on the forums?
When I go to my profile it says I've made a total of 169 posts (not including this one) but I can't see them from there.
I'd guess they still exist, but due to forum page limit being *50, they're no longer fetchable unless a web developer bumps it. That's my guess.

I figured it out; I guess my posts are so old they've been pruned and don't exist anymore.
Thanks for reading anyway!
I should have read this before moving your thread lol.
Yes if they fall off page 50 then yes they vanish from your profile. Also if you post a lot the older threads will then drop off your profile.
Comprehensive Account Security
It is very well possible that in the past you did post in sections that after former 'overhauls' in the past have been deleted and thus do not exist anymore.
Lots of things have changed in The RSOF so did the maintenance of its history and the history of one's profile.
However, we have to face forward and into the future but please do make a new thread if you think that things you had posted in the past are still valid and valuable to mention once again.
Are posts not retrievable at all, if they fall beyond page 50?
Say, Jagex needs to do a background check on someone. Should be able to go back in time, right - unless they're permanently deleted?

Nope, players aren't able to manage a JMod to retrieve anything at all.
What is lost remains lost and thus players have to reinstate it with a new baked thread.
What Jagex has as background information, in case they need to investigate something, the important parts already have been rescued in case of further investigations.
What I'm wondering is if Jagex are able to go back beyond page 50 if they need to gather info, or is any reference to the post permanently deleted past the page limit?
Could also be nice to know in events of increasing page limits, if that were to happen one day.

The page 50 limit is "artificial". I'll more or less water down this explanation so it will hopefully make a little bit of sense.
Each forum can hold up to 1,000 threads at 20 per page, giving us 50 pages. If you've ever looked at the QFC breakdown, each thread QFC has 4 groups of numbers. The last group of numbers is the unique thread ID - as far as I can tell, no two threads have or will ever have the same numbers in that group. The third group of numbers is the thread ID within the forum - it will always be a value of 0 through 999. At the time of writing this post, the last thread on page 50 of this forum has the ID of 305 - which, provided that thread isn't bumped or posted on (which it shouldn't be as it's a locked, moved thread), the very next thread posted in this same forum will be 278-279-305-[unique_thread_id]. This,
in a sense
, "deactivates" the
old
thread 305 and makes a new one. This is why threads past Page 50 can not be found as the 278-279-305 bit of the QFC will have been reused, but the unique thread ID in the last group of the QFC no longer matches the new thread. So, the forums return that the thread could not be found unless you have the updated QFC with the new unique thread ID number - which will take you to the new thread.
*deep breath*
TL;DR - It would certainly stand to reason that a JMod with access to the database
should
be able to query it and retrieve data that the forums have been programmed to ignore.

Ha thanks, Spearmint30. It makes better sense through my brain now!
Nice one on detailing the QFC structure... I've never really thought about it.
