Yep, a lot of the fancy effects seem to have vanished as years pass by. Snow flakes look cute!
The title made me giggle tthough :P
Life is like a camera: Just focus on what's important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives, and if things don't work out, take another shot !

Mrs Ana is 100% right. :)

JMods have the ability to use HTML within their posts so they can add Javascript as well so Chrisso at the time added a snowflake script to his post which give you that effect on the page his post is on (including the show all his posts from that thread in his profile) :)

I also thought this thread was going in another direction. Very clever :P

Not much else for me to add as the question has been well answered above, but I'll just say that over the years, the JMods have used their abilities to post HTML in their posts and done some pretty creative and interesting things! (Fondly remembers back when the used to use the paper scrolls as a background of posts for certain things.... I wonder if there's any of those threads still around...)

Food scientists have finally managed to remove the mint flavor from gum! The ex-spearmint was a success!

Think it was a forum user who created the script and the J-mods thought it was cute. It usually gets revived once a year around the holidays.
When the day becomes the night and the sky becomes the sea, when the clock strikes heavy and there’s no time for tea; and in our darkest hour, before my final rhyme, she will come back home to Wonderland and turn back the hands of time.

I've noticed there are snowflakes on the forums.

I have never seen anything like this before. What is this?
I found this at the Pancake House
It is quite a long story but it was a player suggestion that got support from Jagex/JMods who did put there efforts to it and now you can witness it in a lot of places and Mod Chrisso's thread is one of them.

:D
