shucks been on this re over 12 years and still no forum.
very sad indeed as this is a jumble of notes like in the old days when the internet was used by just the few.

be real nice if when you login you are back where you started
also notices if your thread is ever answered?
follow thread?
just a few things a forum actually has online.

will there ever be thread tools here?
will this be made a real forum?

Yea the forums have undergone quite a few display changes, which I really love, and in terms of forum functions, we're missing some of the things most forums use but we also received a large forum update a few years back that gave us access to add pics/gifs, link forum threads, etc.

I believe there's a forum post that shows all of these new things you can do on the forums/new codes/functions - - I'll link the thread when I find it and update my response with it. Quest Cape Skill Requirements

I believe OP is talking about 'notifications.' Some forums will notify you via email or game/forum inbox (sometimes a "Notification" tab at the top of the page) if someone has responded to your question or posted on your thread. If notified by email, you can click on the link and it will take you directly to the response. Same with a Notification tab when you login on the forum.

As for going back to where you started after logging in, we do that already. Each time you login you're at the list of categories.

Jagex are about to survey players regarding updates to the website, which I hope include questions about these forums.

They're starting to see this as a place as an asset, so I wouldn't be surprised if we start to see some new features come along in the near future.

This place is an afterthought if that? Recent update caused issues for many players being unable to log in and they came here to ask about it all they could get was other players copying statements from reddit.

Their reach is far greater in places like Reddit/Social media than on these forums. I don't see this place being an asset, more like a "Nice to have" since most forums nowadays have been on the decline.
