It's kind of ridiculous. I click to log in to the website, and I get a captcha. Okay, passed the captcha. Now to log in, across two different login panels, one for email/user and one for password. Okay, that's done, now go get a code from your email. Nice! Now another captcha, and now I can be logged in for around 15-20 minutes before the site needs to have me do ALL those steps again, including the email code. Isn't this kind of counterintuitive? Doesn't this dramatically inhibit my ability to use the site? It's so user-unfriendly. Especially because it just outright doesn't work sometimes (captcha infinite verification).

Few years ago it was just "put your info. authy code, remember for 30 days. okay, good to go." Why is it designed so poorly now as to have you run around through different tabs, load 5+ different pages and click your heels just to be able to make a forum post complaining about having to run through different tabs, load 5+ different pages and click your heels to log in? The website will remember you and not ask for codes if you login from the main page -

runescape.com

.

Hopefully once Jagex Accounts are out of Beta, it will work for the whole site. But for now, logging in on the home page works the best.

@RiDaku, you can solve your logging-in issue (with CaptCha's) quite easily when being logged-in in RuneScape.

Go to 'The Lobby' and select under 'Latest News' one link to an aforementioned news article and click on said link. By doing this it will instantly log you in into Jagex's Website/Forums without any hassle or other codes whatsoever.

If you don't want to go through this process, do what I do: I log in through the Jagex Launcher and I click on my Message Centre through RuneScape. I then navigate to the main page and then the Forums. It doesn't require me to log in again; I don't have to enter my email and password

Login madness broke Solomon's Store. When I try to access it, I just get a logout alert stating I cannot log out, advising me to "leave the area" and try again.

Apparently, "the area" is everywhere in the game, as I have found no place where this works.

FFS Jagex, if you insist on having blind monkeys running around your HQ, at least give them smaller hammers so they cause a little less damage. I've been putting out fire with gasoline! ^_^
