I just got phished for 300m+.... Pretty damn stupid of me and I knew the second that I entered my login details and it didn't work that it was a scam. I have a bankpin but not a jagex account. The problem lay in my inv was full of good gear and my email that was receiving my password resets i do not have access to. With no immediate jagex support team I was left screwed. I could not change my password fast enough and this person was actually able to ddos my wifi completely not just on osrs. So I could not login or end all active sessions because he would kick me off of that as well. I now have a jagex account so I hope that this fixes the issue as I was able to change my pass. Let this be a lesson for others, even when you're a longtime player and vet of the game, even when you know immediately that you're about to be hacked - there still might not be anything you can do. So never go through any other website and enter login info unless going thru Jagex first.

wait are you trying to push blame to jagex?

you didnt have full security?
you didnt have access to your own email???????
you went to a phishing website and entered your details there. by sounds of it they asked for bank pin too which is always a red flag.

of course there wasnt a jagex staff member on hand to do anything asap. otherwise jagex would need to increase there staff numbers by like 10x just for this.

there are many ways to keep your account safe. one of the latest is to have jagex account. which has been shoved down your throat for this past year. and you decided not to get it. with jagex account they wouldnt of been able to get in. if they somehow did (as you may have given them pass etc to your jagex account) you would have had 10 codes to log out all devices, which you dont need a jagex staff member for.

but the main thing that has been said over and over and is everywhere in not just runescape. is dont go to links and enter details. that is internet security 101. i can only assume you went there because they were promising you something. which goes by "if it seems to good to be true it probably is"

as stated if you got jagex account like jagex has been saying too past year. you would have had 10 codes to get them off.

and yes never go to a website and enter details.

Seeing as you have your account back and now have the Jagex Account security I've locked this.

I would have moved to Account Help section if you were seeking further advice still but it seems you have that all sorted.

I would also suggest you run some Virus Scans too to be on the safe side.

Good luck.
