An i5 will be sufficient, *but*, make sure you check what type of i5 it is, ideally you'd want an i5 that is 4
cores
, not 2 cores with 4 threads. The performance may be negligible in the real world, but having more physical cores is generally better.
You will want a GTX 960m, or a 970m if you can get one for a reasonable price. I'm not sure on your budget, but I have seen i5/i7 + GTX 960m/970m laptops for $1.1k/£900 or so.

I'm running a Lenovo Y40-80.
-core i7 4900u (2.1GHz I think?)
-8gb DDR3 ram
-AMD R9 M275 2gb GFX card
-1TB HDD
Runs NXT on max fps at MED settings and holds pretty high on high/max settings.
I bought it for $749 2 years ago but they have similar Y-series lenovo laptops that cost the same/have same performance.

I got an hp spectre x360 recently
-i7
-8gb ddr3
-256gb solid state drive (love it) ---startup is like 5seconds and everything is fully functional, whereas a hard drive, the startup is clunky and frustrating on some laptops.
-the keyboard is really nice, (the height of the keys, feel, etc)
It exists. You'll be looking at an i5 (HQ) processor + 960M (the exact notebook version of the GTX 750 Ti but with up to 4GBs of VRAM) is roughly the baseline system spec for running NXT Ultra @60Hz 1080p. If its worth noting, laptops with these specifications are usually 15-17".
Notable "mainstream high performance laptop" models include the Dell Inspirion i7559 (~$800) and Lenovo Ideapad Y700 15" (Starting @ $850).
If you have a large budget to work with, there are enthusiast grade laptops with the likes of Alienware 17/18, some high end ROG and Clevo 17/18 inch equivalents that cost substantially more. They're too much of an overkill for Runescape though.
