After viewing the various pieces of content released giving us a behind the scenes view of the new Elite Dungeons, I have been left with a high level of confidence in the good quality of the coming content.
However, the fact that these new dungeons are presented as an alternative method to train Dungeoneering, has invoked a concern within me. I fear this content may not contain the one detail about Dungeoneering that I love; that makes me come back time and time again to those old dusty halls. It is, in my opinion, the most significant aspect of Dungeoneering, and I'm sure many of you reading already know what I'm about to say.
I am greatly concerned that these new "Elite Dungeons" will not contain a sufficient amount of Meatcorn Plundering.
I think we can all agree that the Plundering of the Meatcorn is by far the most important moment in any dungeon and in some situations, the failure to do so can result in a total failure of the floor. Even to this day, there are times when I head down into the depths, just for the satisfaction of standing in front of that crate and Plundering Meatcorn for hours on end; It truly never gets old.
As of current, we already have the game-breaking bug that results in Meatcorn to not always spawn on a floor, eliminating the possibility of Plundering and requiring one to leave and restart the floor. Additionally, sometimes the Meatcorn does spawn, but does not allow one to Plunder, only offering to let you "Take from" resulting in a similar necessary restart situation. How this bug has not been fixed yet is beyond me.
I simply hope that Jagex fully understands the gravitas of the Meatcorn Plundering within the Dungeoneering community. I hope that this understanding results in the effective and adequate application of Meatcorn to be Plundered in these new dungeons.
Thank you.
