Hey!

Anyone able to throw some Pc parts at me?

I've taken a year off RS3 to play OSRS, now I'm back to rs3, i need to upgrade from the standard laptop i'm using to something more powerful but i've no idea about computers, all i know is the laptop i'm using right now isn't good enough to do anything other than afk and get rowdy at the screen while it stutters and goes black lol.

Limit of £400

Doesn't need to be anything special, just enough to be able to play RS3 and OSRS at the same time. (Haven't tried to play RS3 and OSRS at the same time on laptop, no point wasting time...)

Thank you for any help.

I suggest you look on Ebuyer.

https://www.ebuyer.com/store/Computer/cat/Desktop-PC

They have some ready made cheap systems.

Your budget is a little low for a better then average system. If it was £600+ then you could get a much better system that can last you several years.

Good luck finding 1 you like.

Thanks for the reply but as i said, The computer will be used for literally just playing RS and Youtube. I don't want to stream or anything like that.

this one is the one i've been looking at - will this be ok for RS3 on medium/high graphics? Not bothered about ultra/custom high settings.

You can probably get it for even cheaper if you downgrade the OS to Windows 10 Home instead of Pro.

Windows 10 Pro is mainly for work functions like remote viewing and other stuff.

That will likely do low-medium settings. The iGPU seems to perform on par with Intel's 8th gen iGPU, which I know can run NXT on low at stable 60 FPS at 1080p. Full medium preset may be a stretch though. I noticed stuttering when I did it on my laptop that has an Intel 8th gen iGPU.

For guaranteed medium-high stable performance, you'll want a dedicated graphics card. These are GPUs that run separate from the processor. Something like the Nvidia GTX 1050 will be enough for NXT. Don't just get any dedicated card though as not all are equally powerful. Some are worse than integrated graphics.

If ur on a budget of 400 pounds that might be a challenge.

Look online for an i5 3rd gen dell optiflex with 4gb of ram (upgrade the ram urself ddr3 is cheap now), and install and ssd drive for faster boots. This should be around 200$ or so. Buy a gtx 1650 for about $159 usd. The good thing about that gpu is that it doesnt require a PCIE power cable to the powersupply, so u dont have to swap out the proprietary dell psu

Goodluck
