friend has played for years on this laptop and never had trouble with lag till now. not after an update or anything, just randomly. any ideas on how to help him fix it? already had him set priority, had him run ccleaner's cleaner and registry fixer... he restarted it and updated everything. any other ideas?

id suggest tech support forums, but your pc could just be dusty or over heating

id check for driver updates, then re-return graphic settings to w/e it automatically puts u on
just in case ur somehow in safe mode, cause that caps at about 6 fps
then switch to directx if it decides to use opengl
then open task manager and check if ur cpu or ram is dying
cpu might need new thermal paste

if nothing works, even after turning it off and on again i guess play oldschool
