So I was looking across HLF Off Topic to see if there were any threads about Age of Empires II and did not find any (perhaps no longer on the forums).
So I decided to make this thread to see if there are any RuneScape players who by chance may have played this game at least at one point in the past or still continue to play it, be it the disc version or the Steam Version.
Currently there are a few ways of playing this game online.
The most Popular online platforms being Voobly, Steam and GameRanger (Voobly leaning more toward Professional players and Steam and GameRanger mainly towards newer/average players).
There are also 2 versions of which players prefer to play.
Age of Empires II: The Conquerors (AoC) and
Age of Empires II: The Forgotten Empires (AoF)
For the most part. AoC is more popularly played on Voobly (as it's a much older game) and AoF mainly on Steam (as it's a much newer game and more friendlier to newer players + it's more balanced than AoC though not as popular as it's still pretty new compared to AoC which is like 10+ years old now).
If anyone plays on either Voobly or Steam. Feel free to post here saying you play AoE2. Though don't post your Steam/Voobly name if you don't want others to add you or know what your Steam name is. I'll be more than happy to accept that via PM.
I'm also looking to form more games frequently on Steam if people play on there as it gets me trading cards. I do personally prefer Steam over Voobly because games form better there IMO however, I have no preference as to which one I play on.
