Hello. My current pc is getting a bit old, and runescape nxt is not working smoothly. Even with low/medium graphics, the gameplay is a bit laggy. I'm looking to buy a new pc. I found one, but I'm not sure it's good enough (I don't know much about computers). It says that it can run league of legends with max graphics smoothly. is that enough for rs3?

The specs are:
Intel Core i3-8100
Quad-core
3,60GHz
8GB RAM
DDR4 SDRAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050

Please don't suggest puilding my own pc, I don't know how and i want to buy a pc that's ready to go.

It all depends on your budget.

If you have a semi decent budget then I would opt for an:-

i5 +
16 gig ram
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050ti to 1070ti.

Remember it will have to last you a while so always try and get better system. No point spending cash every year or so just to go 1 step to a better system. Do big leaps.
Comprehensive Account Security

or if you prefer the AMD budget, an R5 has 6 cores, Intel has had a lot of security flaws, more are coming out than are being patched i'm afraid.

You need at least a GTX 1060 GPU I'd say if max settings is what you're after. I have a GTX 1050Ti and the game stutters a lot if I run the Ultra preset. The GTX1050Ti is more powerful than the GTX1050.

You'll also want a PC with an SSD for the main (boot) drive. These make your PC much faster as everything loads far quicker. If budget allows, get a PC with both an SSD and a normal hard drive. The SSD runs Windows and some programs that don't use much storage (NXT client for example) and the other drive (normal HDD) stores everything else. It's the best combo. This is because SSDs are typically lower in size (GB). They cost more per GB.

RAM is fine at 8GB and the CPU is decent enough as well if you aren't going to run CPU-heavy applications. You may want to look into AMD Ryzen builds. Very good CPUs that are cheaper than Intel and actually compete with them. If going with Intel, make sure to stick with the newer generations (8th and above). For AMD, only go with Ryzen. If it's AMD and not Ryzen, avoid it.

That PC could easily do High settings with some stuff turned to Ultra with minimal FPS loss. The game still looks good running on High with some stuff upped further if needed/doable. If Ultra is what you're after and nothing less though, you will need a stronger GPU.

Most people that start don't. They are really easy to build nowadays. There's a huge amount of resources online that aid those aspiring to build their first machine. It's basically like putting together lego. It is definitely worth it and most of the time is better value for money. You can ensure you put together quality parts and make it easily upgradable in the future.
