the title is meant to convey idea that recent cringe jingoism needs to transform into useful dogma that bulwarks the cause of people who need our help, and ourselves, because we're stronger together.

I'll cite a quote all of us gamers know from Castlevania
" the only thing necessary for evil to triumph is that good men do nothing " and if you look it up (citation below) they actually got it wrong. the saying is born from an early british labour discussion, and it posits that racketeers always work in concert, so that men of virtue, by themselves, will always lose, and they need to work together to overcome those actively eliminating competition (and weakening the land).

So I -do- want to be vague here, but there is a new in game item that allows overhead text spam to flood out... and its REALLY cringey. Its says stuff like "its okay to be different." Um... thats not the best way to help people under attack. Thats a little like saying "we will pardon how you are different" and kinda leaves us looking easily divided.

Its easy for me from background in military, education, film/tv, etc... to say simple dogmatic things like "diversity is strength" but really... its true. If we stick together, if we get along, if we join... we will overwhelm nativists, xenophobes, and all those blowing their own opposite jingo dogwhistles. they do it to eliminate competition, and thats always going to weaken any economy, any state, any structure.

Its the right idea... the right thrust... it just needs a little work. In the future rephrase that to be interpreted by any reader as that which is more inclusive, more strengthening, and more about like... being on the team that is going to win. We are. We are going to win. They can only get the better of us if they divide us.

day later I have additional thought.

I do not at all want to be imagined capricious in this sentiment, and I do want to seem genuine, sincere, and writing now to help do, most of all, that which is good for the game. So it will seem to have too much gravity, but... you guys brought it up.

I have to mention that I am aware college degrees are retroactively stripped from scholars who corrupt and become "holocaust deniers" and y'all being british should know about that too, right? Well... weird thing... I find many, many, many people are slightly guilty of it who don't know that they are.

There was more than one kind of camp. We know the most about the camps we did liberate where prisoners had an identifying star of david on their shirts. We did NOT liberate prisoners from the camps where prisoners wore a pink triangle sewn to their shirts. Those poor souls were left there until the 1980s to die. In their case the "final solution" did take place, and thats horrible. Earth, en toto, should be ashamed that it ever let that happen.

So... that symbol... most of us have a moment when we learn what it means... and its heavy. Doing pride stuff afterwards has to have a careful tone. If we want our allies to believe our dogma "NEVER AGAIN" then we have to make it clear that we have not forgotten the recent past.
