my own personal response to this new art modesty is indeed hot, but not for lusty reasons. I fenced competitive sabre in college (which scores points with point and edge), so male fencers that compete tend to let out a shrill yell to rattle opponents while chopping wildly (instead of stabbing delicately). it doesnt work on me. I learned from the french womens olympic team who steady kicked my ass for a week to relax... and win.
repeat: I lost swordfights to women who werent wearing armour. not fantasy. not edgelord. thats memory. Im veteran.
I have ZERO patience for spreadsheet warriors, jingos, and the like imagining what armour might do that want to try telling me nonsense about why boob shaped chest pieces are bad.
nope. roman legion officers sculpted nipples into their chestplates. they sure did a lot of winning.
archangels depicted as being kinda male in stained glass windows or in movies like... wim wenders wings of desire get to wear male nipple plate.
women... by policy or decree are largely unseen in those spaces. maybe a face peeking out of a habit, a burqha, or whatever handmaids tale symbolism that... well...
no ad hominems intended... but I am always didactic and rich with hyperbole because I dont actually want to be understood by everyone. nonetheless I have cause to believe a CM or such would parse me pretty well if I had more than 80 characters to reply with. no I am not spending more time to edit, revise, check the feedback either, because... I dont work for you, and it takes way longer to make my solicited feedback shorter.

addtionally I am most recently aware of a moment when either anita sarkeesian or briana wu impugned katie sackhof's boob armour in an episode of mandalorian, and even though I am stridently anti gamer gate... thats a star wars spoiler, yo, and not me mansplaining or gatekeeping.
so... if there is some citation for a peer reviewed british science journal... equivalent to APA... is that BPS for you? its not just editorials from the math challenged. like real science citation thing.
something like this?
https://www.bps.org.uk/guideline/bps-response-health-and-care-committees-call-evidence-impact-body-image-physical-and
and if so then what would same body say about runescape skills like thieving? yeah. maybe we don't want to moralize too long at me saying flat chestplates for female NPCs is a bad idea. maybe its better to just be like "its just a game" and save the iconoclasticism for... oh... I don't know... the SLAVERY in the game? some world guardian right? hi there enslaved miners! bye!

the junior artists at jagex NEED to review some history too.
Gloria Steinem went after Denny O'Neil for removing Wonder Woman's powers in the early 1970s.

I have to choose this hill. Binders full of women is not cool. Its 2022 right? Please stop being gaslit by fenian brocialists.
also... that freelance hack that tried snipe 'you look horny' has been making me want to get at him "you wish," but better than ever talking to that shut in weeb window licker again... just know that this is also me, before I shaved head to get rid of dewy eyed muppets, and the image supports my thesis/thrust.

thats the weakest prompt possible, but I'll take it.
it is worth citing this guardian article reviewing
The Naked Ape

because Desmond Morris did NOT get everything right, and he annoyed several feminists with his work, but... this is where it enters our conversation that the outward symbolism of breasts is or is not meant to be sexual stimulus to human society, and I think there is more undesireable objectification that occurs from the bondage of chastity belts and flat chestplates than from comingling different gender iconography.
your virtual beavis and butt head chuckle... that emerges so much quicker from places now in the news taking healthcare options away from women. you from ireland? texas? poland?

yeah at root... I want the game SOLD to new prospective players and we know what sells. this change seems to cause controversy for reasons more likely to forfeit the interest of those not playing yet than to capture it.

yeah looking at vintage pictures of valkyrie... any of them in chest pieces showing off breast support... and then robed bottom half maybe.
same argument shoulda removed horned helmets from rs since they never really existed. it was just bad artists who couldnt draw feathered helmets. thing is... we dont care. we came for the symbolism.
swear to god... all the time I spent fencing, and then get dragged to some LARP or SCA thing where fat guys whack each other with nerf poles, and theyre all really bad at martial arts, but talk your ear off whole time. ugh.
I think thats what happened here. some troll windbag made it seem like a feminist thing to mutilate the symbol of femininity.

i loved the rs classic(not osrs) boobs on the armors. I wish we still had the female plates from back then.
