Are deaths safe as an ironman? I can't find info about this anywhere.

I had a HCIM account, but just lagged out and died and lost the status (cheers jagex!) so my question now is..

Are deaths safe in ironman mode? If so, where's info on this?
After Tuesday, even the calender goes W T F.

if you respawn in death's office when you die, it isn't safe, same as regular accounts @Chee__RS

if you make a
Hardcore
account, yes it is locked when you die an unsafe death

As a
Hardcore
account you can buy a jar of divine light, which downgrades your account into a standard iron rather than losing the account altogether

As a
Standard
iron, neither of the above applies to you and you can die however many times you like without any effect on your account @Chee__RS

Thanks for the info, Chee.

I sadly died on my HCIM alt due to a known bug (unknown to me at the time) so lost HCIM status on an account I was enjoying player. Such as life!
