When this first was reported by someone in world 99, we all laughed, and called him a troll.

Then I need to walk my doggy, so I logged to lobby, but the game screen was flashing in the background (around the lobby screen). Not wanting to risk my timer, I logged out completely.

Then logged back in, only to the lobby, so I could read clan chat. My
dxp timer was 34:43:44
when I logged out.

After 48 minutes (I know 'cause a clannie, told me to have a good walk. Time on her post, to the time on mine when I came back... 48 minutes). When I logged into the world, I immediately looked at my
countdown timer. 34:24:??
(didn't write down the seconds)... so I'll call that a nineteen minute loss.

Why Jagex?

Weird it only went down by 20 minutes even though you were logged out longer

I just tested it while I was taking a break and I didn't lose anytime at all. I logged out of game entirely while I was gone.

I logged out this time, directly out of game. Put my password back in, and sat in the lobby while I went to make some coffee.

Six minutes later, I clicked the world and logged in.

Timer right before I logged out: 33:03:08
Timer six minutes later at login: ..32:20:10

Yes, the timer dropped 43 minutes, in only 6 minutes of logging off, on, and lobbying.

Java Client's issue?

And my last: Logged off directly to out of the game. blah blah blah. Then logged back into the game, spent as little time as I could in the lobby, clicking past the annoying Please Download the NXT client nag screen, and into the game.

Timer at logout: 32:03:52
Timer at Login .: 31:51:11

I expect a few seconds to disappear, as it takes a moment for the world and all the people to appear. But 12 minutes, just to log off and back?

I know I said last, but I tried one more thing. While in the game, world 99... I switched worlds, and went to world 58. No lobby, no logging off.

Timer before: 31:42:25
Timer after...: 31:33:35

Yes, 9 minutes, just to hop worlds. And no, it didn't take 9 minutes to complete the hop.

When can we expect another dxp that the timer works? Should we stop playing for a roll-back?

Logged in today, no lobby: 29:57:27

20 more minutes just vanished off the dxp timer.

Every world hop, more time vanishes. Every log out.

Jagex, may I suggest going back to the old timer? no, not an old timer, the old timer.

Now I have a choice, what to believe.

I logged out for dinner, and immediately closed the client.

My timer before: 24:37:06
my timer after: 24:37:01

So for once I didn't lose any time. Which do I believe?

1. It was closing the client, that stopped the loss.
2. I just got lucky, and next time it will go back to losing time.
3. Jagex fixed the issue.
