Hi, over the years I have had many recovery attempts on my account, and several have been successful.
While a good friend of mine, Kayla (Mod Acorn) and her husband (Mod Weath) were at Jagex, my account was not recovered, as she had said she would prevent it from happening by placing a note on my account. Shortly after their departure it has occurred again. This time I was on a slayer task on OSRS at work, on mobile. Logged out to take a service call and came back to a changed password and I was 450m poorer. I was offline for 15 minutes, how could an appeal be granted on an account that was just active?
Took many hours to recover my account again. With my PIN pending deletion.
I have an email account that is dedicated to only Runescape, and it is 2 factor Auth, it also had a randomized password. My account itself is 2 factor Auth, I do not visit sketchy websites. I am knowledgeable and I have an IT degree in website development and design, so I know what to look for to identify phishing links/web sites.
I have been an active subscriber for 17 years and I miss playing this game. I have had billions stolen from me, and my hard work destroyed. Short of making a new account, can further recovery attempts be blocked?
Thank you all in advance.
