Something we polled which passed (Ignoring someone no longer shows your online status) has had further investigation resulting in us not actually being able to perform the desired changes,
the investigation showed we needed to do a much larger re-write than required as the actual implementation would be extremely expensive and not a suitable code change at this time.
Once our poll is finished we sit down with the developers to flesh out the poll questions and then implement the content, in this case this question should never have made it to the poll based on the finding above, as a result
we are taking further steps to ensure our polling process does not allow questions like this to be presented again without a full investigation into the proposal being offered.
We recognise there is value to actually having this feature and if we can do this in the future, we will. We wanted to inform you on this as soon as we could and while we’d like to say sorry for not being able to deliver on one of the poll questions we hope some of the upcoming Ninja additions to help fill that gap makes up for it!

Success is not final, failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts.
I'm not really sure why it really matters, unless you're a famous name, ignoring someone stops them having contact so who cares really if they know you're online?
Awh, I would have liked this. Though I can't say it's a feature I'd use very often at all, I can say that at least once in the past this would have been very nice for me to have had at the time after being followed across multiple worlds by a rather unruly fellow that I'd have rather just, well, ignored.
I've always wondered why they changed it so that ignored players can still see you online, as it originally used to be the way that they polled and seemed like a counterproductive change. Though after seeing this, I now see that it was likely an unintentional change, an unintended side-effect of some change in code.
Was nice of Shauny to explain it rather than just saying "oh nevermind, can't do that" at least. And thanks for the heads up, Loki.
