Once upon a time... in a distant land far away from Geilinor lived a young Scaper. This charming young man was brave, handsome, charismatic and incredibly hench...
...Yeah, so that guy wasn't me. Anyway I just thought I would take a few minutes to introduce myself as I'm new to the RuneScape Team! I'm Mod Meadows and I've got the epic task of being part of the RuneScape QA Team.
I've always been a Scaper for as long as I can remember, and I am really enjoying working at Jagex so far, it really is an awesome place to be. On my ch00b account I have a Completionist Cape, 200m Dungeoneering (it's a skill not a minigame folks!
) and a Master Quest Cape as well as a couple of 120. I'm a huge Lore Hound and I had the MQC Reqs before it was even released! If you ever see me in game, throw me an obscure Lore reference.
I'm a massive Game of Thrones Nerd; I've watched the series over 10 times - each episode back to back... and that's not even an exaggeration. My favourite character would have to Melisandre, I love the intrigue she offers or Stannis as he is the Mannis.
... Oh and Stannis is the One True King. Don't even question it, it's his birthright.
Gaming wise, as said I've been a Scaper for years - over 10 in fact! I had an Xbox One but... but it wasn't really for me; So I got a PS4 instead and it was the best decision I made! My favourite games on it are: The Last of Us, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Kingdom Hearts and Call of Duty (I only really play Zombies!).
TV's shows I enjoy are GoT, American Gods (it's just started but it's awesome; totally recommend it!), WestWorld, Doctor Who, Avatar Last Airbender & Legend of Korra... and of course, who doesn't love a bit of Ru Paul's Drag Race?!
I've been to all the RuneFests as a player, this year will be the first on the other side... make sure you say hey! I'm already counting down the days! Eeeeek!
On a personal level, I'd really like to encourage you to really look and consider looking at Jagex as a career opportunity. The main reason I applied was when Mod Cocoa posted on the Forums asking about QA Career Prospects; for someone with little techy knowledge, but vast game knowledge I didn't really think I stood a chance. But hey! I am here. Party.

" You can teach a player how to QA, you can't teach a QA'er 16 years of Game Knowledge... at least not as easily."
