Greetings children of the shadows
That time of the year is upon us again. It’s the season of all Hallow’s eve, and this year, the time has finally come for our order of evil monks to rise up and curse the righteous.
For too long now the towns of Falador and Varrock have enjoyed an era of relative calm, and it is time for us to bring our years of plotting to fruition, by bringing down the magical barriers around the cities, and flooding the towns with our dark spirit minions. Heck, I’ll even throw in a few Infernal Invaders too, why not?
The rewards for your service will be great my brethren, as we are defending our very right to partake in evil at this dark time of year: Team goody-two-shoes wants to stop you dressing in evil costumes, scaring people, and end trick or treating forever, all because of a few eggs being thrown at the white knights last year.
Think about it this way, evil is integral to the RuneScape experience. How many times have you picked the pockets of npcs? Beaten up guards in Varrock? Deforested large areas of landscape? Or smooshed an impling? Now think of your favourite npcs in game- there is a good chance they are evil. Because evil is always cooler. Without evil there could be no good, so it must be good to be evil some of the time.
Some of you may remember my supreme victory at Easter this year (I went along with the whole ‘losing’ thing as Mod Paul’s sobbing was starting to get a little tiresome), and this season things will be no different- Mod Mike is new to the team, and I do not lose to noobs! In fact, I heard he only chose the light because he is scared of the dark (he still sleeps with a nightlight), not to mention the whole wetting the bed thing. Is this really the person you want to triumph this Halloween?!
In the end these lilly-livered light-loving lightweights can never hope to stand up to our cunning, our deadliness, and our dark intentions. I beseech you adventurer, join us in our quest to sow the seeds of chaos amongst the good people of Gielinor.
After all, it is the right time of year to give in to your more… heinous side… Mwuhahahaha!
