Once again the Tower has come under new leadership. The orders are seeing restoration and its structure is returning to something familiar. As students once again begin flocking to the Tower new mysteries and adventure unfold for all who come.

Welcome to the Wizard's Tower! We are once again starting back up. It is our goal to provide a place to learn magic roleplay as well as participate in magic centered plots. We welcome interaction from other groups and kingdoms. It is our policy to deal with things ic first and use ooc as a last resort to resolve issues. Please reach out to us if you would like to interact with your group or simply stop by!

We encourage antagonism with us, but ask to be informed ahead of time if we are going to be attacked in force. Feel free to reach out to Khaji for all questions relating to antagonism with the tower.

Thank you and happy roleplaying!

Leaders of the Tower
̦•¦Í

Archmage Syll Sinn
: Archmage Syll is a seemingly kind soul. She has a great array of magical knowledge though a curse obtained in her youth now hinders her in old age. Her curse gives her outward youth, but she now suffers from fatigue and her internal body is old. Syll is trying to raise the next generation of mages and have the tower be a beacon of learning instead of being seen as a militant fortress of mages.

Headmaster Memphis Vaeyl
: Memphis Vaeyl is a man born to a pair of upper caste vampyres from Darkmeyer and spend most of his youth as a grey order student at the Tower. Quickly picking up on medical assistance as an Apprentice, Memphis eventually settled on summoning to become his bread and butter when he became a Wizard. He often fights from a distance and supports his familiars as he doesn't know many offensive spells like most mages.

Aether Guard
̦•¦Í

The Aether Guard are the elite battlemages and militant arm of the Wizard's Tower. They protect the island and assets of the tower. Their future is in flux as the archmage wants to separate them as a military branch of the tower. With their funds cut the Aether Guard no longer have an influx of incredibly expensive equipment. The guard is still regarded highly in the tower and listen to the Archmage above all else, though they see the headmasters of the four great orders as an extension of the Archmage and will listen to them as well.

More info coming soon...

Character Application
̦•¦Í

Character Name:
Race: (No mahjarrat. Powerful and special races such as icyene, vyre, and half mahj will be handled on a case by case basis with no guarantee of being accepted.)
Age:
Position : (Student, staff, or random wizard?)
Magical Expertise: (Only applicable to staff. Students do not fill out)

Important Notice : While mages in general are powerful characters due to the nature of the tower the expectation is that characters will be operating at a reasonable level. While there may be some plot and event related exceptions most characters are expected to adhere to this soft cap. If you have any questions about your characters's abilities and power level just reach out to an admin. Likewise, students who are coming to the tower are expected to have an ability level that reflects their inexperience. While existing characters are welcome to enter as students, new characters are recommended in order to get the full experience.

Ordo Magi
̦•¦Í

The Ordo Magi are a group of mages who are upset with the state of the magical world. Their main rallying cry is retribution and war against the Fremmenik for the rune crusades of old and vengeance for the Imcando Dwarves. The message has also carried calls for magical supremacy and to not let the non-magical leaders of the world hold reign over them Their message has attracted many dark magi and evil doers. However there are a great many who believe in the cause of the Ordo to usher in a great era for mages everywhere.

The Ordo has been quiet until recently. There are rumors of it being fractured as powerful dark mages tried to splinter and take over after the disappearance of the group's founder. These leaders have spread terror throughout the lands. Even with these dark leaders the Ordo has somehow still managed to recruit mages of a more benevolent nature. Only time will tell when the Ordo strikes again.

The Ordo Magi will be the main antagonists for the wizard's tower roleplay. All are welcome to make ordo characters and this group will be developed alongside the tower. For more information reach out to Khaji.

The Blue Order
̦•¦Í

The most illustrious of orders, the Blue Order of the Wizards’ Tower once held the entire Tower in its hold and teachings. Over recent years, the Saradominist Order has faded away in power to become equals with the Green, Grey, and Red orders.

Headed now by Headmaster Samuel Thoreau, the Blue Order’s focus is mainly upon the noncombative spells known to mankind which ranges from binds to teleports, alchemy, and enchanting. Learning these spells and the arcane properties behind them can make members of the Blue Order better suited to become enchanters, law mages, staff and wand creators, magical book makers, along with healers, priests, and magical officials all around.

The Saradominist Faith drives forth a passion to help and better humanity and members can be immersed in the teachings of Order and Wisdom. Prayers can also be learned, helpful devotions to Saradomin that can thicken the skin, strengthen a spell, and sharpen the mind to improve a Blue Order member’s actions.

Although the Blue Order prides itself upon selecting and building the greatest students of the Tower and Gielinor, it does not seclude the members from practicing with other orders. Combative spells can be learned secondary from different masters, along with studies into more arcane arts that are not prioritized by the Blue Order. Benefits of joining the order are as followed:

Members have access to the best enchanting laboratories in Gielinor.

Members have access to a near endless supply of runes fitting of the Order’s teachings.

Members have access to the Tower’s personal cathedral of Saradomin.

Members have access to all training grounds in the Tower with written permission

At the end of each year, two apprentices or wizards deemed worthy are gifted the Perien Grant which gifts supplies and currency to finance two to four years of study outside of the tower.

The Grey Order
̦•¦Í

The Grey Order has historically been tied to many magical endeavours. Whilst they are not credited with such like the enchantments and alchemy of the Blue, or the combat-focus of the Red, or even the runecrafting of the Green, the Grey Order's strength lies in magical theory. Welcoming those who cast aside religious and personal difference, the Grey Order are the most intellectual of the orders, ever researching and nit-picking the finer details of existing works to bring something new and better to the front.

Under Headmaster Memphis Vaeyl, the Grey Order has now also dedicated itself to the philosophical questions that magic brings with it. Debates, lectures and assemblies with the other Order’s Wizards are their prime tools to promote the ideal of broadening once’s horizon by taking a trip outside your bubble. It is why the Grey Order views a well-travelled Wizards as a wise one.

The ever moving scholars of the Grey Order now learn their spells not through a set merit within the order, but through encountering a magic type of their preference somewhere on Gielinor. Grey Order Wizards’ are not often particularly geared for specific jobs for that reason. Grey Order Wizards often find uncommonly practised forms of magic more appealing due to the amount of knowledge still waiting to be uncovered when learning about the magic itself. Culinaromancy, Libraromancy, (non-druidic) Summoning, Healing Magic and with that Lunar magic are but a few of many niche types of magic more commonly found practised by Grey Order.

Unfortunately the temptations of Ancient Magic is hard to resist for these scholarly snowflakes and the Grey Order has historically had a bad track record with these forbidden magics being practised by mages within their Order.

The Red Order
̦•¦Í

Marked with a history of controversy as much as its prestige, the Red Order has fought hard to reclaim its status as an order of innovative, prestigious wizards within their home of the tower. Combative experts, the Red Order is home to elementalists, battlemages, slayers, duelists, and occultists.

The Red Order is responsible for the development of the elemental spells of the standard spellbook, and red order wizards familiarize themselves with it in turn. The power of storms, flames, the sea, and the earth are within the grasp of a Red Order Member.

Fearless innovators, risk is prized, accepted and encouraged in the pursuit of a mage’s goals. The Red Order is the only order with an explicit combative focus. A red order wizard is a force to be reckoned with in whatever application they set themselves upon and they are highly encouraged to study as they wish to improve their knowledge in their own fields.

Officially irreligious, the Red Order exists in a precarious balancing act with the institutions that are closely related to it. Red Wizards practice without condemnation of their faith or methods within the Red Order, but occult-based religions do not represent the majority of the Red Order officially. Their history is not forgotten, but they are now bound to progress, not revenge. This progress comes at a higher cost than what common acceptance may dictate, and the Red Order encourages individual assessment of ones risks.

The current headmaster is Erisala Elding.

A Red Order Wizard enjoys the following perks:
-Access to all training grounds on tower with the Headmaster’s permission.
- Connections to the Warrior’s Guild for training with non-magical weapons.
- Access to a large repository of combative runes.
- Access to a Slayer Library.
- Access to magical weapons and equipment, often given as grants.
- [REDACTED]
