Is there even any active groups? The several discords I found are all pretty inactive, the forums have sort of recent threads but not really, RS total player base is super low now... ? I don't mean to cry 'ded gaem!11!!" or anything but, I'd really love if someone could point me in the right direction, please?

The level of activity you may have experienced in the past is unfortunately no longer existent. There are a few people who still roleplay, however.

Post 1.4, "Highlighted Events", of this thread should help get you started. It lists several events that have occurred in character in the last two months, and can help you figure out which groups are active and which are not. All that for a pile of bricks.
