------------------------------The Undertaker-----------------------------

You dead?

There's a guy who can help with that. Well...not the dead bit...but he can at least make you presentable for your viewing. The business is cheap, his work is obsessively proficient, and the location conveniently hides his grisly practice from the public eye. You’ll find the office deep in the intestines of Ardougne. Where Mr. Martin Marrow quietly emerged from obscurity when he purchased three connected ghetto shacks to practice his work. You’re welcomed to bring him your dead, but we’d rather take our business elsewhere.

Upon entering his office, you will be greeted by a tall stranger. He’ll likely be filthy and odorous, pale, lanky, with the posture of a melting candle and charisma that barely surpasses the guy lying on the table. Hardly one for small talk, and he’ll generally say whatever gets you out of his office efficiently. At first, we thought he was just odd, because he doesn’t engage with any of his neighbors, unless they’re dead of course, and he doesn’t go out much in the daylight. but now we know he’s way past that. Something’s wrong with that guy, and it’s spreading to the rest of us.

They say the undertaker is more than just a quiet introvert, that he practices magic behind that door. It isn’t normal magic either; We can feel it emitting from his office. It’s unnerving and dark; the grass doesn’t even grow around his place. He doesn’t talk about it. In fact, he never talks about anything to anyone outside of his clients, unless you count himself. If you put your ear to his window, you might hear him talking to the walls. I mean, really talking, arguing too. He's even thrown furniture at… himself? Yeah, that’s normal.

It’s not just his person that’s abnormal either. After dark, there’s a fog that gathers around his place, and if you keep staring at it, you’ll swear there's someone, or something, walking around in there. Then there's the queer noises coming from over the wall, floating voices and screams without a source, and animal calls, but not from anything you’ve likely heard before. When he’s out of town, all the weirdness subsides as though it followed him out. Nobody goes out at night since he came around. One guy did, Travis was his name. He said he was going to spy on the undertaker, but never came back. Of course, the undertaker denies knowing anything about his disappearance. Are we supposed to believe that? Everything about him is all wrong, but we can't prove any of it as nefarious. So, his shop remains.

Open for business.

-------------------------------
Welcome to the shop! As a simple element to rp, Martin serves as an ordinary undertaker, PM me in game to set up a RP if you need to stop by. If you're looking for more, you might have guessed that this is a good place to start, as clearly something is not right. Events will be coming from this little shop. Some fun, most dipped in horror and the bizarre. Not for the faint of heart or the cowardly, but the rest are welcome!

Stay out of my shed okay? (Cont.)

“Two curious individuals visited the crazy gardener in his cell, but he wasn’t one for talking. One, an inquisitor of sorts, used magic to pry into his mind, and saw some dark vision of a mysterious creature hidden deep within the man’s mind, but was interrupted by a rude guardsman that sent them out. The two payed the UNDERTAKER a visit next. He was his usual vague and unhelpful self. He did mention, however, that Edmond Leerly had offered to pay for the cremations of his deceased workers. This compelled the two to investigate the manor under the guise of new hirelings.

Everything seemed to be as tragic as expected. Master Leerly cared for his servants deeply. He had personally pushed for the gardener’s hanging to take place the next day before the bodies were burned. There seemed to be a sense of vengeance about him, as he had nothing but contempt for that gardener who killed his friends. However, the two women had keen senses, and could detect a dark presence lurking inside the house. They were not alone with Edmond Leerly in those quiet halls.

With the hanging due noon, the next day, new questions arise as to whether this case is truly closed at all, but can they find the truth in time? And what else is going on behind Edmond’s locked study door?

All are welcome to attend the hanging of Mac the mad gardener.”

Persons of Interest
There are numerous people in this roleplay that have significant roles. They are kept track of here.

The Undertaker:
Martin Marrow runs the small undertaker’s shop in West Ardougne. His presence in town has disrupted the local residents. A string of strange phenomenon began shortly after his arrival that’s put him under suspicion of practicing some form of dark arts. His past is unknown.

Edmound Leerly
The widower who owns Leerly Manor, Edmound spends his days mourning the loss of his wife Leia, and his staff, who were murdered by the manor grounds keeper. Edmound is generally considered a quiet recluse who conducts most of his business through proxies and letters. There is a strange air about this gentleman; a dark secretive nature he keeps locked behind his library door. Where does his broken heart lead him? Is there more than tragedy looming over this ancient house?

The Corpse god
The Corpse god, the Ruined Lord, the Wither Shade, the Black god, such are the titles given the strange being that inhabits the dreams of disturbed minds. This enigmatic figure first appears after the passing of the “Screaming Fever”, a sickness known for its hallucinogenic symptoms, and always his appearance is the harbinger of some travesty. Little is known about him, even less is said. Few who see him dare to speak of it. In the wake of some particularly gruesome event, fragments of rites and rituals, journal entries and stuttered words from shattered minds may mention his influence or favor. Whether or not this character is even real, his existence, be it material or otherwise, is a blight and a curse to any that encounter him.

The Wretched Hound
Beware the Swinehowler…

Incident 1: The Tramp

“A drunkard named Twitchy managed to enlist a curious handful of “investigators” to solve the mystery of his friend Travis’s disappearance. The first stop was, of course, the UNDERTAKER. While he initially tried to lock them out, their persistence convinced the undertaker to point them in the direction that he saw Travis leave. Apparently, the tramp had been attacked by an unknown assailant and ran off into the slum. The investigators followed a scattered blood trail and multiple sets of footprints to a neglected graveyard.

It was there that they found Travis, or rather, what’s left of him.

A shriveled creature was found lurking by the grave of the tramp's deceased wife. Its eyes, HIS eyes, were blank and lifeless, and his bald scalp was littered with fine punctures that led into the hollowed cavity where a brain once was. The remnants of Travis attacked the investigators, but was quickly dispatched. In his mouth was an amulet with the Seer’s village emblem, but with an artistic “M” roughly engraved over it. The group headed back to the Undertaker’s home-office; All the while being watched by a strange creature that called to them from beyond the city wall. They agreed to journey to Seer’s Village for more answers. Answers like:

Who killed Travis?

Why?

What turned him into that thing in the graveyard?”
