A cold wind blew across the top of the tower. In recent years, less and less students had come here, but the ones that had tended to be much more dangerous than the earlier generations. Less controllable, more angry. There was plenty of room for that, but first they'd need to be trained. Why not one of the dangerous students themselves?

1. Harm to others will not be tolerated outside of duels. All duels must be sanctioned and overseen by a teacher or head wizard.

2. The Ancient Forms of magic (I.e. Blood, Smoke, Shadow, and Ice) are explicitly banned under order of Misthalin. Other banned magics include but are not limited to Necromancy, Demonology, Pest Manipulation, and Oneiromancy without explicit permission. Illegal use of these magics will be met with punishment up to expulsion.

3. Though members of the tower are permitted to come and go as they please, they are prohibited from involving the tower in external affairs without explicit permission from the Head Wizards or Archmage.

4. Destruction of tower property will be acted upon. This includes the Tower itself, any book in the tower library, any enchanted brooms, any of the rune golems, the runecrafting guild portal, the runespan portals, and student dormitories. Students may expect to work for the tower to repair any damage inadvertently caused.

5. The tower is not a place of worship - religion is not banned outright, but it is emphasized that it does not interfere with any learning or research.

6. Mahjarrat, Vyres, Werewolves, and other such races are strictly forbidden on the premises without future permission. Any who wish to enter Tower Grounds may write to the Archmage herself.

7. Oldak Coils are expressedly forbidden, having one on Tower grounds will result in the objects destruction and administrative action.

8. The Runespan portals are not garbage bins. Anybody found using them as such will be sentenced to public service in the form of Runespan Janitorial Duties. "A silly ***** is what I'm going to call **** jokes from now on."
