With the Zamorakian loss at the Battle of Lumbridge a number of Zamorakians were discouraged, they thought they should devote themselves to a new take on Zamoraks philosophy. One group in particular has gained some small notoriety, focussing on what they consider Zamoraks finest moment, the annihilation of Forinthery and countless Armadyllean, Saradominist and Bandosian forces. For the last few years this group was nothing more of an annoyance, a bunch of drunk men who only managed to set fire to a few gardens.

However, recently there have been a series of fires in the Asgarnian countryside, rumours of strange creatures appearing in the smoke. These creatures always seem to resemble their greatest fears. A concerned landowner has suggested their might be a connection to these fires and the sudden resurgence of a Zamorakian Order, a notice had been posted in a few local bars asking for people to investigate. The location of an old chapel where the group supposedly meet up was given and a reward for any proof of a connection between the fires and this group.

It's only a small order, and the leader is supposedly just some old priest, just how bad could it be?

OOC Intro:

Of course it's gonna be bad, when is it ever not bad! The Order of the Sanctifying Flame is a group dedicated to laying waste to all land so that a new great Zamorakian can rise from the ashes, their main method of attack is a enchanted mist that causes hallucinations of a characters fears, these hallucinations are shared by the group to avoid confusion and will focus on 1 or 2 characters each session. This is a safe antagonist plot that focuses more on psychological attacks on characters by exploiting their fears. There will be lots of combat and the plot will aim to last a few weeks.

Friday 16th May - 12pm GMT / 7pm EST - Port Sarim Lodestone

After paying for the results of the investigation, and finding out his suspicions were correct. The Landowner has agreed to fund those who would try and stop them, he's also hired a private investigator to track the groups movements. The investigator has found that some men in robes have been seen around a gunpowder warehouse in Port Sarim, they could be planning to steal gunpowder to make explosives, or just blow up the warehouse and wipe out half of Port Sarim in the process. Event 1 - The investigators went to the old Zamorakian Church, their they saw a sermon by the orders leader, Father Asmodeus. He spoke of the world needing to be purged with the 'Flames of Zamorak'. Suddenly the church erupted into flames, as did Asmodeus, turning into some kind of flame demon, a fight broke out and ended with the investigators victorious. However immediately following the flames suddenly extinguished, there were no demons, just 2 corpses of regular human monks. It was if, it was all an illusion, the group suspected as much and proposed many suggestions over what might cause it, most of them involving drugs. But for now they returned, with a strong resolve to stop this group, however they all thought they saw something out of the corner of their eyes, something terrifying.
