Project Aegis in laymen terms is an attempt for the Kingdom's military to train and develop children into unstoppable soldiers upon reaching adulthood underneath the Crown's nose. Project Aegis is essentially a 'super soldier' program funded by the Temple Knights for the Asgarnian military. Project Aegis is directly influenced & inspired by the 'Promethian' warrior caste of the late Dragonkin Worshiper organization from Forinthy. Locate file #0343.7 for more information on the Promethians.

Candidates are chosen from a pool of children no older than eight years of age and no younger than six. Taken from their families, they are given a new name and brought into military life where they are brainwashed into serving. Their families are given a handsome fund in compensation for their child's 'loss'. From 6-8 until 21, the candidates are to endure a great deal of hardship during their training: they will be placed into situations and drills that pushed their abilities to their very limit and beyond. Their hard training is complemented with high-level education, which included mathematics, science, history, reading, writing, and military tactics.

Children & teens who fail to meet the standard, get injured, or decline serving get transferred 'elsewhere'. Not important.
