What kind of OOC behavior warrants IC consequences, such as refusal for character(s) to be acknowledged?
Some people seem to prefer evaluating others by just the ability to follow the rules of roleplay, others prefer to look at OOC behavior such as whether the person enjoys trolling.
Presuppositions:
-IC and OOC are kept separate to help IC flow, and reflect the characters the roleplayers write instead of just the roleplayers themselves.
-Being nice OOC helps players accept the IC flow, especially if being nice OOC while having an antagonistic IC role.
-Breaking rules of roleplay is an accepted case of OOC intervention into IC, to adjust for improper behavior. (ie, voiding something illegitimate IC, an OOC action that has an impact on IC.)
So OOC behavior with IC consequences isn't impossible, but to what does 42 think of it?
I support abortions starting at the 4th trimester and beyond.
