Ardougne is a roleplay group designed around running the Duchy of Ardougne with less a focus on the politics and nobility like most other groups tend to slip into, and more on the lower class or adventurers passing throughout the land. While nobility and royalty will be involved, less "spotlight" roles will be present, primary focus shifted to include the roleplayer.

The purpose of the duchy's conscripted levy is to provide rapid emergency response to immediate threats within the duchy and her counties when imperial support is not yet available. The levy consists of conscripted commoners and combat-ready nobles to lead their levy forces. Generally, these armies will not be tasked with foreign invasions unless requested to support imperial armies.

The duchy's levy has two naval ships: a pair of fishing sloops retrofitted for minor naval engagements.

Currently, the Duchy of Ardougne is

mobilizing

. A rebellious fremennik chieftain to the North has raided the lands of Sinclair, and General Gregory Forge has been dispatched with a 3k-strong force to quell the threat.

The Ardougne peasant levy has been activated to police the capital during this time, as the imperial force defending the city is being used to assist General Forge in his endeavors.

The Duchy of Ardougne is also recovering from a naval assault on Witchaven, conducted by the Kingdom of Asgarnia. The Queen of their kingdom was slain on the beaches, and their army surrendered; a reconstruction effort is underway, although the coastal village, fortunately, sustained minimal infrastructural damage during the battle.
