I am interested in cooking more, but my real life cooking level is currently a 1. I know that there's already a thread in this forum dedicated to food that people are currently cooking, so I'd like this thread to instead focus on suggestions of easy/simple cooking recipes and techniques aimed towards a beginner chef (like me!).

For example, one dish I've been trying to learn is spaghetti aglio e olio – simply just spaghetti with garlic and olive oil. Do you have any recommendations for other simple dishes or foods I could try? What are some cooking techniques you think I think learn?

Thank you in advance for your help! :)

Here's a Bologna Bowl. The only time I've ever seen a microwave dish be in a cookbook. I've actually tried it but I used mortadella. Simple but tasty.

Pancakes is a good place to start. Once you have mastered them you can move up that chefs ladder. ;)

They are so simple you can't go wrong.

I don't mean the America type. I mean the British type. So yummy and so simple.

Quick and Easy yet very Yummy.....

Bread Pizza.

Use a Baguette or Panini type bread. Cut in half lengthways and lightly toast (just a little crunch)
On the inside spread one of the following .... Tomato Puree, Sundried Tomato Paste, Chile Red Pesto etc.
On top of this put your choice of Cheese.
Top off with a little thinly sliced onion, Red/Green Pepper, Salami, Olives etc.
Grill to melt the cheese, (a little burn to the toppings helps with flavour)
Sprinkle with a shake of oregano/Italian Seasoning, Chopped Basil (these best applied after the grilling as they burn very easily)
As good as any pizza you can buy and not as Slirppy.

Thank you for the amazing suggestions!

@Tenebri, I added some garlic shrimp to my pasta dish last night and it turned out great. I was nervous to cook seafood, but it wasn't bad at all!

@Ryan, that video is hilarious! I'll have to give this a try.

@Tuffty, I will have to practice my flipping skills!

@Top Bass, I LOVE pizza, so I am eager to give your recipe a go!

Thank you, everyone!
