It's belated because it's been a manic week, but happy International Women's Day!

This year’s theme for IWD was #ChooseToChallenge. We want everyone to be able to challenge gendered bias, to be self-aware, to respectfully educate, share and listen. Be aware of any subconscious biases and take advantage of learning opportunities and areas for self-growth.

Above all else though please reach out to the women you know, hold them aloft and encourage, empower and embrace them!

Happy International Women's Day! My aunt was recognized for her community and religious work in our town. She was so happy and I can say she completely deserved it! Go, women, you rock ^_^ ! To be honest, for me, it's Women's Day every single day as I adore and cherish my Mom and those women around me continuously.

Insert generic: Every day should celebrate great actions by all genders, however Belated IWD it is; I probably owe my life to several women for saving me more times than I can count whilst at work! :) Girl poweeeeeer!

(not to say men haven't...we get our day in November :P )
I wish I liked Quests as much as I love AFKing

Happy International Women's Day! :D

Over the years my wife has really opened my eyes up to gender-based bias in a multitude of ways and it was actually pretty shocking to learn about - the fact that it was (and very much still is) pretty widespread and how I personally went so long through my teenage years and somewhat into my 20s being either completely unaware or nowhere near as aware as I should be!

In any case, I'm very happy to see these issues getting the attention they deserve!

I didn't know there was such a thing as an international women's day.
A lot of things are biased towards men. Did you know car safety crash dummies are based on men? I don't know if that's changed recently. Even seat belts aren't tested for a woman's anatomy. One of the reasons I chose my car was because the seat belt height for the fixing in the door pillar is adjustable. Due to being short I need the seat position moved closer to the pedals. A fixed anchor point for the seat belt means the belt is often too high on my shoulder/neck. I also sometimes have problems getting the belt to sit in the correct position across my body because....well, I'm a woman...
