Gibson Les Paul is a classic (though I'm not a fan of the block inlays)

Have a look at the Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster, I've heard good things, it's 'cheap' too! Bob says:

thanks, just a shame they are discontinued and out of stock in the uk. i see alot of likes for the FSQ classic vibe series but tbh i'd rather not have another squier. i'll keep trawling reverb until i find the right one(s) =)

If we're only going with the first 3 guitars in the first post, I'd personally go with #3.


Regarding other designs, some that I had my eyes on were:
1. BC Rich Warlock (Yellow color)
2. Ironbird Prophecy MK2 with Floyd Rose (Green Pearl color)

I love bold bright colors on guitars

Moskoe - I've not used Reverb, only used GAK. Oh wow they discontinued it, probably cost them too much to make. People were commenting that the neck felt better than their Fender. Only criticism I heard from people was that the pick-ups were a little bit 'hot'.

Doom Valiant - I liked the look of 'B.C. Rich Beast's back in the day. That Ironbird Prophecy looks cool. I like the look of 'metal' guitars but the flat fret radius isn't comfortable for me. Bob says:
