I got some bleu cheese, onions, pickled halapeno peppers and what else can I put on the burger? what would you put on it? I’m thinking beef bacon and wrap it all in a lettuce bun, Id love to eat bread but currently shredding so I’m like 0 carbs atm.

This is my only high calorie meal of the day so it’s fine to add anything that has fats but has to have minimal carbs.

oh i’m putting very little ketchup on it too because what is a burger without it!

can’t think of anything else? btw i’m at such low carbs i cannot even think properly so idk. perhaps a little bit of a tomato? maybe another cheese type? but what kind? trying to stay away from empty calories as much as possible because I’m really close to my goal.

what about jabanero peppers? and what about something more apetizing than lettuce as a bun but it has to have not more than 5g of carbs? i really like peppers so is there anything good that’s made of them that i can put on the burger?

I like all the suggestions in your opening post. Burgers are like my favourite food.

A good quality beef pattie, like Angus beef is good, and I always like putting tomato sauce and mustard sauce on mine.

And yeah streaks of bacon, cheese and chilli peppers go well as well.

When I make my famous half-pounders, in the last couple minutes of cooking I pour a can of undiluted condensed cream of mushroom soup over the burgers. Sometimes I may switch off and use cream of celery soup. Personally, I don't care for bleu cheese, instead I'd use sharp cheddar cheese.

A friend of mine occasionally makes ham and hamburger sandwiches. She chops the ham up very fine (I always wondered why she doesn't put it through the food processor) and mixes it with lean hamburger. Another way she makes her hamburgers is, if she has left over pulled bbq pork, she'll mix that with hamburger.

Keep it basic.

Lettuce, Tomato and slice or 2 of pickled gherkin.

You don't need to spoil the taste of the meat patty with added junk.

I can do ya one better. When I was a kid, a friend of my Dad ate his hamburger raw with a slice of Red Onion, a small pinch of salt and lots of black pepper between two slices of plain bread.

I'm a big fan of keeping it simple as well, my go to is simply cheese, pickles, and onions with a bit of mayo and mustard. I find ketchup way too overwhelmingly sweet.

Sometimes I like doing something a bit different though, and that's where this book by the world's foremost hamburger scholar comes in :P
