The protocol is wait a few weeks before creating anothers thread, temp or not. It's respectful to the last owner. Motley Crue might come in and see the thread has already has been created and walk away sadly.
Plus you or another moderator have closed countless threads for doing just this, one of them was a replacement for my first pandemic thread as the first one finished, so it was created by another person and you or another moderator locked it which I am grateful for. The same respect should be for this thread too. Wait a few weeks.
