Anyone here play the originals? I remember playing it early 2000's
I feel like the Monkey Island franchise is what led me to playing RS.

The characters were great and the game had a similar chat style.

Wow thats an old game.

Used to play that on my Amiga in 1990. Bought it and played it for years. Also bought the new versions like Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge. Great game and top rated at the time.

All versions got a great score as they had a huge following.

This sure has brought back some great memories of the game. Sadly though this isn't the game that got me into RuneScape.

I miss my Amiga. Funny thing is I still have 1 in storage.

Amega, nice, never had one of those. Don't think I've ever seen one in person either. First console I (we) had was a Sega Genesis. We ended up borrowing a Nintendo (Super) but I didn't play it much. I only played Monkey Island on PC (whilst my sister watched) I don't think we ever completed it. I don't know if I'll get this new Monkey Island but I'll certainly watch a 'lets play' of it on Youtube or somewhere. I enjoy the story. Bob says:

I had the Amiiga for a short time, although the Megadrive is the one I played most in the 90s

along with PS1/N64 200m Dunge, Rc, Mage and invention accomplished, + 120 Constitution/Slayer/Range/Summoning/Woodcutting/Mining/Defence/Strength and 110m fishing, got comp/MQC and 200m Fishing/Woodcutting/Mining as well as 120 herb/Farming/Cooking most 120s just Agility, Theiving, Hunter and Prayer left

I'm in 2 minds if I should buy the new game. I really do like the game and loved playing it for years.

Love all of the games. Really happy that Ron Gilbert was at least able to create the game he wants to make. Even without owning the IP. As long as he can freely do as he wishes with the series then it's a win for everybody.

And Dominic Armato back as Guybrush! But this is apparently a follow-up from the second one. Will definitely be interesting to see the different story. Brassica Prime:
