What are your opinions of Line of Duty?

This is a drama series following the investigations of AC-12, a controversial police anti-corruption unit.

As the BBC put it succinctly, it is about "bent coppers and the detectives sent to stop them. AC-12 isn't here to make friends. Will their investigations land them deadly enemies?"

As we should be aware, corruption is everywhere, in all forms of authority group. That is partly why it is interesting and entertaining to watch dramatised versions of anti-corruption units.

This show is very popular and is now on season 6. I'm watching it every time a new episode is released.

What are your opinions on this show? Have you ever tried watching some of it?

I put it off for a long time. I kept hearing about it from time to time, but never got round to watching it. I finally gave it a try and was immediately sold. The new season has been good.

It's a top-quality show imo. I'm not someone that's crazy for crime TV shows, but shows like Line of Duty and Luther just make me want to watch and keep watching. .

I binge-watched series 1 - 5 and very much enjoyed them.

But, like all series, I find that in the gap between them I lose my enthusiasm and largely forget what the whole thing was about. Which is why I tend to binge-watch.

I'll get around to seeing it but will probably watch the whole 1-6 over a few weeks so my dim brain can cope with the plot twists.

We've watched the previous series and have been recording the current one to watch at our leisure. We've enjoyed all the previous series.

Edit to add. Oops, hit enter by mistake. I'm like Fifi, leave too long a gap between watching episodes and I forget what has been happening. :P

Lol completely get what you mean. It’s the Twitter crew and my friends that prompt me about what happened in the last seasons and the significance of events in the current season :P

@Singularity - yes!! I loved Luther and the the intro theme tune got stuck in my head after I finished watching that show haha. And there are a number of familiar places to me that that show was filmed in. Aliceeee!

@Jeremy - not sure how many seasons there will be in total till it finishes in its entirety, but season 6 is the current one that’s airing.

I've got so used to being able to watch all episodes in one go (or whenever I feel like it), so I'm recording them all to binge at my leisure.

I loved all the previous seasons, so I'm really looking forward to this, particularly as they've added Kelly Macdonald who is always excellent.
Who's the cat that won't cop out when there's danger all about?

I've not seen much of it - only a couple of episodes - but, it seems pretty good. I've got to watch a bit more of it to fully appreciate it, I think. One thing that particularly entertains me is how Neil Morrissey can get the Birmingham accent pretty much spot-on - and, the fact that he was born 8 miles from where I live! I like Volvos.
