Qatari Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani will soon become the new owner of Manchester United.

Qatari media exclusively announced three days ago that Sheikh Jassim's offer to buy Manchester United was accepted.

The Glazer family will earn 5.7 billion euros, while the sheik has pledged to invest 1 billion euros in the team.

That the deal between Glazer and the Qatari sheikh has been agreed upon is also indicated by the latest news that arrived from Great Britain.

Yesterday, a company named "Nine Two UK Holdings Ltd." was registered in Great Britain. with Sheikh Jassim as one of the directors.

With this, the rich man from Qatar fulfilled the last condition for taking over the club, and now all that remains is to make the change of ownership of Manchester United official on paper.

Today's transfer gossip:

Manchester United
are being offered the chance to sign £80m Portugal striker Goncalo Ramos, from Benfica.

Manchester City
are on the brink of completing a deal worth about £34m to sign Croatia midfielder Mateo Kovacic, 29, from Chelsea.

Chelsea
have almost reached an agreement on personal terms with Caicedo.

In other news: England beat Malta 4-0 last night.

Still unconfirmed unfortunately =/

The Qatari newspaper that announced it has since changed their claim and nobody has been confirmed as the preferred bidder yet.

It's an absolute shambles and might not be resolved before the new season starts :(

Thanks for the new thread Destruction.

Sad to hear what happened in the friendly between NZ v Qatar.

But I am looking forward to this season with the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 being hosted in New Zealand and Australia. And of course everything else going on overseas.

Yep the Women's World Cup should be really good, women's football is gathering more support every year.

A really good win for England (Men) last night, they haven't lost a game yet.

Well, the transfer window isn't turning out to be as exciting as I'd hoped (so far)
United are linked with a few players but it's all just rumour at the moment.

Loads of teams seem to be chasing Declan Rice and Harry Kane - I'd love to see both of them at Old Trafford.

The United sale drags on and looks no closer than it did months ago. :(

There are some great Women's football countries in Asia like Japan, South Korea, Australia so Australia/New Zealand as world cup hosts are great for them. But I don't think I'll be able to watch many games due to the time difference, which is in part is also why Fifa struggled to get broadcasters to buy the rights for the cup in Europe (plus the fact they've set too high of a price...)

The Man United sale doesn't seem to be happening any soon, and seemingly they've walked away from the Mason Mount deal with Chelsea which is just as well when they demand over 60M for a player with one year left on his contract that didn't have the best of seasons last year.

Chelsea seems to be bailed out by Saudia Arabia who is taking their aging players on big wages off their hands, plus some decent sales in Havertz to Arsenal and Kovacic to Man city (reportedly).
