Technological advances have improved human life quality significantly. We used to have to visit a library to squeeze out the information we looked for. Nowadays, every search can be done at the tips of your fingers on your smartphone. Technology developers have been trying to make our lives even easier. You may not need your fingers to research information. With the future Google Glass or Apple Glass, information will come to you in a glance of your sight.

What if you may not even need smart glasses at all? What if we will be so advanced that we will be able to replace our biological eyes with intelligent eyes? You will be able to search the Internet, watch Netflix, scan through your social media with a thought in your mind? "Hey Google, how is the weather?"

Would you give up your eyes for smart eyes?

Next step - the fat controller will dictate what you see and fool you into believing you are seeing something that you are not.

Where technology exists, there's always a chance of a glitch...or hacked.

I wouldn't want my eyes Hijacked! Nope, I'll keep mine, thank you very much.

I think that is the crux of it for me too. Current medical technology already has this issue. You don't have to Google very far to see reports of implantable pacemakers and artificial medical appliances being hacked. I think it's still largely a theoretical security concern rather than a practical one at this point, but seeing how prevalent the hacking industry is in other areas (identity theft, credit card faud), it wouldn't take much for them to begin placing more resources into the medical technology game.

Just think, SPAM advertisements and scam emails sent directly to your eyes. How powerful would that level of tampering be? I think it's safe to say we won't be seeing this sort of technology implemented in our lifetimes. Perhaps prototyped, but nothing launched on a large scale.
