Hello folks, this thread is for talking about the passions of your hobbies, displaying your crafts, etc. Or just talking about skills and trades.

I for one am new to blacksmithing but wow is it fun. Currently I don't have all of the proper tools (or fuel, I use wood but it's not as great as coal). A project right now is making a hoof-pick then a kaiser-blade for someone. Anyone else into blacksmithing or other crafts?

I've got an anvil :P

Don't use it for metal working really, althogh our fire basket needs some new metal as the ones in the middle have burnt out.

If I ever get round to it I'll take some pictures.

@Tenebri, that's really neat. I'm doing the whole trial and error method mostly because I don't have a vehicle and I can't pay anyone to teach me lol

@SLR - Go for it! I want to get back into violin. Archery is pretty fun too.

@Wilf - I need an anvil lol. Anyway that would be cool. Not sure what a fire basket is though.

Iirc a fire basket is in a fireplace and has the fire in it, usually burning coal or logs.

My hobby is cardmaking. I use stamped images which I usually colour in, metal dies to cut shapes and also some ready printed toppers. I sometimes include ribbons and "gems". I especially enjoy making Christmas cards.
