Who do you think will raise the cup this year?
I think the 3 best teams are Brazil, Argentina, and France. I lean toward Argentina more.
What do you think about the opening match?

The disallowance of the first goal was unfair in my opinion. Qatar’s loss was predictable and reasonable. Their players’ levels were inferior to the Ecuadoreans. It felt like Ecuador let them loose a little so they can make some attack moves to save their face. The Ecuadorean goalie didn’t even have to do anything in the first 25 minutes.

What do you think will happen in tomorrows games? Here is my prediction.

England 3:0 Iran
Holand 3:1 Senegal
USA 1:2 Wales

I watched the opening match Qatar vs Ecuador and although initially I thought the goal in the 3rd min should have been allowed, the high level of technology, ie the sensor in the ball showed that Valencia was offside by a fraction of a second.

Fortunately the right team still won at the end of the day.

Your predictions for tomorrows 3 games are pretty accurate imo. I would predict similar scores.

Valencia definitely carried his team. He was the only person on the field who had any World Cup experience if I’m right. There were rumors that Qatar bribed 8 Ecuadorean players. But the match proved it wasn’t true. However, no one knew for sure. Let’s hope they aren’t thinking about paying Senegal players to win, lol.

You would think that England will win against Iran, with kickoff in about 4 hours.

I'll be watching it live.

Edit: Great game by England 6-2.

Now I'm going to watch Senegal vs Netherlands.

I just watched the England/Iran game too :)

Great result for England, a nice morale booster... and really good to see Rashford score so quickly after coming on as a sub!

Watched the Netherlands beat Senegal 2-0. Holland were lucky to get away with this one. There were a number of times they had shots on goal, but didnt take them. But a wins a win.

Now I'm going to watch USA vs Wales. I hope Wales win, Because I have a soft spot for British teams.

Edit: some great goals so far though.

I didn't manage to catch any of yesterday's games, I'll try to watch the Spain game later if it's available anywhere.

Some good games today, might watch Brazil / Serbia later... the Portugal / Ghana one should be good too.

Managed to catch most of Brazil / Serbia - great game,
featuring one of the best goals I've ever seen from Brazil's Richarlison :)

Portugal / Ghana was excellent too.

Ronaldo broke more records - the first player to score in 5 World Cups.

I'd bet Brazil but hoping for England (of course). I'll start watching it when it comes down to deciding games / the big matches. Not really a big fan of politics being smeared all over it at the moment, waiting for that to calm down first. Whether we agree with their customs or not, we're in their home, be respectful.
