I think the most important thing here is to get a dedicated graphics card , as integrated graphics keeps having issues with RuneScape. Roughly 8 years ago I had a GTX 750ti which is still an OK graphics card, but definitely down in the low prices today. There's also GTX 1050ti which is an affordable option at mid/high graphics levels.

These are the top 15 gpus used in our game (not RS) yesterday sampled from 135k unique players. All very affordable options. Ignore anything labeled 'Graphics' as these are integrated graphics.

Moved to a more suitable forum ;)

If you have a maximum price in mind that'll help people recommend something.

May I suggest a desktop. Much more customisable these days. Not a laptop fan.

8 gig of ram DDR 4 3000 MHZ is good or higher if you can afford it. DDR5 is out this year do with luck DDR4 will be cheaper as everyone will be upgrading.

A 500gig SSD drive is also a must. Bigger if you can afford it.

A GFX card will be tricky as the prices are way too much for what they are due to miners. So buy what you can afford.

I have a Nvidia 1070ti and runs RS and all my other games at full gfx rate but costs over £600 about 3 years ago.

You might be able to get the bits from E-Bay but make sure they have a returns policy or you may get screwed over.

Good luck.

One thing about SSD's. The major companies producing them were caught swapping out parts for lower quality ones in consumer grade SSD's. So now not be the best time to be buying one. Leader of The Enemy ||

Budget ? I have a Prometheus XVII gaming laptop. Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU.It has 1440p resolution, 165 hertz refresh-rate, 32 gb ram, 512 gb m.2 drive, RTX 3070mobile graphics. My spec will cost you about 2,385,48 US dollars. If it too much then considering buying a Lenovo gaming laptop it cost only 699.99 https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-IdeaPad-Display-Processor-82K20015US/dp/B08YKHGKTV/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=Lenovo+gaming+laptop&qid=1632646722&sr=8-5 If within most people budget. You can always upgrade ram and m.2 drive later. 1 terabyte m.2 only cost about 90-100 dollars. RAM cost a bit more when the chip shortage. I think if you have a deeper wallet gaming laptop this is not a bad choice link https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-IdeaPad-Gaming-Laptop-5-5600H/dp/B09BNX74CZ/ref=sr_1_8?dchild=1&keywords=Lenovo+gaming+laptop&qid=1632646854&sr=8-8 You can still get some budget friend laptop like the Acer Nitro 5 with a decent RTX 3050ti mobile graphic keep in mind it only has 4 gb video ram is a bottleneck in the future. It's a bottleneck even right now but hey it cheap it's good enough. Link https://www.amazon.com/Acer-i5-9300H-GeForce-Keyboard-AN515-54-5812/dp/B092YHJGMN/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=acer%2B5%2Bgaming%2Blaptop&qid=1632647108&sr=8-5&th=1 it's a Acer Nitro 5 get the 10th gen for bang for you buck. I couldn't buy a GPU these days so I bough-ten a gaming laptop instead. My gaming desktop is on the back burner right now. I don't want a RTX 3060ti desktop graphic gpu. Trying to get the new AMD 5000 series later or RTX 3080ti or RTX 3090 desktop graphic good luck trying to get your hand on them !!!

Hey all, my budget would be around £400

For £400 you're probably best off looking for a good spec older machine, maybe a refurb.

Ha I feel little stupid I miss then scrolling down!!!! though you get the best value when it comes to a gaming laptop with decent spec. Your better off buying a gaming laptop that is 700-900 dollars converting pounds to dollars depending on your currency.
