Let's suppose, just for a few minutes, that reincarnation was an option, whether through some type of medical breakthrough, computerized, or however it happens. That part doesn't matter, here. As far as gender, that doesn't have to be an issue since, by this time, men and women are finally on equal grounds.

Scenario: The Doctor indicates that you are a high medical risk, your health is failing, or maybe you're having a midlife crisis. You have the option to pass on or have the option to try life again. It's a one shot chance at reincarnation. Which means you can only do this once, not over and over. This reincarnation doesn't mean you're immortal.

If you accept the offer to try it again, you can decide what type of life you want to live, career, lifestyle. In short, a brand new blueprint that you make yourself with the promise that you will be born with all the capabilities needed. Of course, they won't be at your disposal right away, but the knowledge will come to you gradually over the years.

Once you mature and are able to live your new life, there's still an option to tweak a few things, at your own expense since these tweaks were not in your original blueprint.

Question: Would you decide to pass on peacefully or grasp at the opportunity to live the life you have always dreamed of?

I would pick reincarnation. I'd like to have an immune system that was able to fight off any serious illnesses. I think space exploration and being a part of a team that sets up other planets for colonization would be interesting. Hard work, for sure, but I would be sure I was born with the capabilities needed for the physical and mental aptitudes associated to perform such duties.

I would keep my present personality, but would have better insight for making better decisions, based on my previous life.

How about you? What would you choose?

mmmm theres a lot to think about here though like would it be expensive to do or would it just be out right free and the ability to choose how ur life is doesnt seem like a "fair" option because obviously everyone will wanna choose to be wealthy (more than likely at least i know i would :P ) would some or all of ur previous lifes memories come back to u gradually over time or would u just know everything about ur old life from birth

being able to map out how ur life will be from the time ur born again doesnt seem viable either unless this all powerful being (a science organization or company or what have u) can guarantee it will be the way u want it to turn out theres a lot of things that could change ur "predestined" future u gotta remember nothing in the future is an absolute even if u have some kinda insurance that itll turn out how u want it to

also gotta think about the implications of who gets reincarnated because u dont wanna reincarnate a serial killer or something theres a lot that could happen if this was a true thing to happen

Although there has been an awful lot of difficulties during my lifetime so far, there has also been a lot of greatness.

I can't imagine wanting to be reincarnated if I kept all my memories of this life as I'd miss my loved ones, family and friends too much.

So if that were the case I say no thank you.

Remember, I said it's a new blueprint you choose. If you want to remember your previous life, that can be part of the new blueprint. If you don't want to remember your previous life, then that can be in the blueprint as well.

The only things I'm asking is:

If you had the opportunity to do your life over, as you want it, would you?

If you think you have lived your life to the fullest, would you pass on?

Don't try to analyze this too deep. Cost is not a part of it...it's there for the grasping if you want it.

I didn't think about career criminals. I'm sure there may be people in prison who have made that one fatal error and are spending life or facing execution for that error. Their remorse is so deep, they wish they could have a second chance at a good life.

This is something that would be so far in the future, maybe be by this time there would be a way to tap into a criminal's psyche to make a determination if that person would benefit from such an opportunity. Yes, it can be a sticky wicket.

We can't speak for others, that's why this has to be an individual decision.

Maybe a few years ago I would of said yes. But now I am happy and content even if things aren't 'perfect'

If you think you have lived your life to the fullest, would you pass on?

I regret nothing, even bad choices. And taking all the good and bad into consideration, yes I would choose to pass on.

All in all I have lived the life I have wanted to and achieved the things I find important.
