What recurring memory do you have?

I have several, but as an example, every time I pour water into a bottle or cup from a sink, I'm immediately back at a hospital where another patient did this ritual of filling a cup with water, emptying it, filling it again, 4 or 5 times. I'm even remembering it vividly right now.

So, what recurring memory do you have?

When I go to the doctor's office or to the emergency room, I'm asked to rate my pain 1 to 10, 10 being the worse pain I have ever experienced. The first thing that comes into my head was the time, when I was a kid, I jumped out of a tree, not seeing a stick sticking out of the ground. My butt met with the stick going all the way through me shorts and gave me a new butt hole. Yes, that was extremely painful. I had to go to surgery so the surgeons could clean out the slivers, debris and repair the rips and tears. They gave me stool softeners to produce diarrhea until the surgery was healed.
