So I play Minecraft off and on and have recently tried my hand at villager breeding, mostly because why not.
So I built a railroad from a city to near my house and built a shack that contained 3 beds and threw an abundance of bread in there. Then I tried to transport the children away via railroad to my village where there was more beds.
I was not ready for the population explosion that occurred after. Apparently my beds in my village at the end of all of this was close enough to "count" as available beds for breeding the villagers and when I opened up that shack there were easily 10-20 kids who came out.
My husband was near me and dubbed this the "breeding railroad". (Satire for reading railroad)
Anyway, I got the choas under control after a steep learning curve and then gave them all jobs (some are there to automate things for me like farming). I also like to trade with them as once you get to the higher levels, they can give some pretty good stuff and since they are used to automate a lot of the stuff (and I have a few monster farms, too), I have what seems like unlimited amounts of, say, diamond armor and weapons.
All in all, it is pretty disturbing and at the end of it all, it is a close parallel to some very dark stuff, but it is a video game. It is just crazy to think about how far along I got before the parallels became obvious.
Anyway, what disturbing things have you done in video games? Bonus points if it is minecraft related!
And I swear I'm not going to let her know all the pain I have known
