okay i’m not paying 100 for windows. will linux be just fine for video games? like if any of you have linux is it about the same? i wanna play bf5, new cod, and of course runescape! i don’t know much about linux so i need to know can you do video editing and everything for free? can you livestream? will it be kind of glitchy or laggy? will it be horrible performance? i just wanna know is it any good? really don’t think windows is worth paying for. what you guys think?

Not the ideal place to ask honestly. I'd try and find an Ubuntu forum, or whatever distribution you are looking to get. Also, most Steam games (rs included) will say if they are linux compatible in the specs section.

It's quite laudable to attempt to learn Linux but it's definitely asking for a few headaches.

Better today than 10 years ago though.

If you don't have any close friends or family who have some familiarity to be able to help out, you might just want to bite the bullet and go with Windows. A problem you can sometimes run into with Linux is problems accessing wifi, so if you don't have an ethernet connection, you'd better have a phone handy and enjoy troubleshooting on that.
